Ella Pederson Memorial Scholarship Endowment
Scholarship Background:
Established by her family in 2025 in loving memory of Ella Suzanne Pederson, a beloved student at Minot North HS, who lived with a rare genetic disorder, IQSEC2. Ella was known for her joyful presence, infectious laugh, and deep appreciation for everyday life. This scholarship honors her legacy by supporting students who embody her spirit and the value of belonging.
Amount Awarded Annually: $1,500
Eligibility Requirements:
Scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating Senior of Minot High School
Preference will be given to students who:
Have a 3.0 GPA of higher
Plan to study special education, communication disorders, education, or a related field
Participated in Sentinels United
Application Materials:
A letter of recommendation
An essay written by the student

Ella Pederson was known for her joyful presence, infectious laugh, curiosity, deep appreciation for everyday life, and larger-than-life personality. She was deeply valued and loved, and she reminded those around her of the importance of belonging, kindness, and laughter.
